[Everything doTERRA] Writing for online Aromatherapy Journals

I thought this might be a really good idea for anyone who has the credentials, to get the doTERRA name out there. Just a thought for anyone who may be interested.

Writing for Online Aromatherapy Journals

I want to encourage you to write an article, story or case study for an Aromatherapy journal. It is a great way to share information with other Aromatherapists. I believe we all enjoy learning about what other Aromatherapists are doing with essential oils, and what they are learning through their work. If you are interested in writing, you can contact the journal directly by email and ask them any questions you might have. Here are a few guidelines for writing for the NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy) and for the AIA (Alliance of International Aromatherapists).

NAHA: They have an e-journal and an e-newsletter. The e-newsletter comes out every month and the e-journal is 4 times a year. Currently they need articles (within the next 2 weeks) on a "medicinal theme" for the next e-journal. They need all articles written in a Microsoft Word .doc, in Times New Roman font. Your bio and contact information need to be included at the end of each article and they need a picture (headshot) sent as a JPEG.

AIA: Email them and ask for their packet of guidelines for submitting articles to their monthly e-newsletter called Aromatics News. You simply submit their Author Consent Form, type your article in Word, and send any charts or diagrams as a JPEG.

When writing for any journal or newsletter, remember to reference any written material you have used, and put Latin/botanical names next to the common name of any essential oil or carrier oil mentioned, with chemotype if relevant. You can use the typical referencing style offered by the AMA. Click Here for a good example of how to reference.
