Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Pregnacy and oils

Peppermint has been known to dry up your milk supply. It doesn't happen with
everyone but we always caution you. Also Clary Sage has been know to put
mom's into early labor, so it would be better to err on the side of caution.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] prenatal's?

As you can see there is a prenatal book available from Aroma Tools,
I can suggest to you that our LLV would be an amazing substitute for
your supplements. As for the oils, use any you would like with the exception
of Peppermint or Clary Sage.

Best Wishes,
Pat

[Everything doTERRA] Re: prenatal's?

I have heard others using the Life Long Wellness for their prenatals
so I would assume LLV would be good to use also. I compared the LLW
and the LLV to my prenatals that I got from my naturepath. The LLV had
everything my prenatals had. We're really impress with the LLV so that
is what we are going to use if we get pregnant.

For morning sickness Ginger on the abdomen. back of neck, or cupping
your hands and inhaling help with that.

Hope that helps.

So I thought I would share this little testimonial of what one could
do about a burnt thumb :)

I am accident prone (I blame it on poor eye sight.) so I am not sure
what hubby was thinking leaving me alone in the house with a power
tool. I was putting together some shelving with our drill when I
needed to use a larger screw than what I had. Only problem was, the
next larger size was too big. I decided to use it anyway. I figured
the worst that could happen is it would get stuck, I would cuss, and
then hammer the sucker in the rest of the way :)

Nope, all of a sudden sparks started to fly, my drill head thingy
turned green and blue and suddenly I smelled melted metal. I stopped
the drill and without thinking grabbed the drill head thingy. I knew
it would be hot, but for some reason my hand didn't care and I grabbed
it. My thumb immediately melted to it and I could smell burnt flesh
along with the melted metal. Where my thumb was it had turned white
and began to blister. The pain didn't really bother me at first and I
was so determined to finsih the shelving that I kept on working.

When it was time to start dinner I couldn't figure out why my thumb
was hurting - then I remembered.

Gripping about not taking care of it right away I put some Lavender on
it to help with the pain thinking that now that it had been a few
hours it was going to take more then a little Lavender to fix it. I
applied it several times through out the rest of the night and this
morning.

Happy to report thumb is back to normal color and although I have a
drill head thingy imprinted in it, it no longer hurts and is on the
mend :) And yes, my husband laughed at my plight, but at least I have
another fun story about how the oils helped! (Even if it was something
as minor as an accident prone wife)

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Pregnacy and oils

Generally speaking, an herb/oil that is great for female issues should be used cautiously or not at all during pregnancy because it can cause contractions.  Peppermint and Clary Sage are ok if used for inhalation, however, if used topically caution needs to be used.  They can cause contractions.  I will say Clary Sage is great for birth through the nose and on the skin:)  The book Joanna is referring to is AMAZING!

about two months ago because my son had a nasty sinus infection and he
is only 4 months old. A friend told me about them after I told her
that my son was sick and said that I needed to try them gave me her
sisters number that is a consultant for Doterra... It was a big leap
of faith, but I hated seeing Roman sick so I jumped. Courtney was the
nicest person, she talked me into joining, and since she was in
southern Utah and I was in Logan she got a hold of a consultant in my
area and rushed me some samples for my baby.
I have to say that I was really nervous because there are so many
things out there that people are trying to get you sucked into and it
turns out to be a bust! After I got off the phone with Courtney I am
ashamed to admit that I had a little bit of buyers remorse! I had just
spent $150.00 on the Family Physician Kit. $150.00 that I really
couldn't afford, and I didn't even know for sure that it would work!
I got the samples that day and they really seemed to help a lot.
within two days he was was back to his happy bouncy self. My husband
however was not convinced, he was still very skeptical. but I week
later he got the beginning symptoms of strep throat and I made him let
me do a spinal treatment. He fell asleep after I put the hot compress
on him and an hour later he said he felt sooo much better. He jokingly
chalked it up to his amazing immune system. :) a few days later he
punctured his hand with a rusty screw driver while working and it had
hit the bone. He came home with his hand wrapped and swollen and
embarrassed so I called my up line and put frankincense, Melaleuca,
and Lavender on his hand; the next morning the swelling was gone and
his had was not stiff at all! we continued to do it twice daily he
barely has a scar now.
Anyway it seemed to all come at once, everyone started getting sick
and the oils just proved themselves over and over, my mother LOVES
them and she is super skeptical about everything, well the list could
go on but I will just tell you my whole family is sold! needless to my
buyers remorse went away pretty quickly.
I just received my first auto-ship order a week ago and I got LLW
vitamins and I woke up this morning having more energy and confidence
than I have felt in a really long time! I didn't even realize how bad
I was until I woke up and felt this great, and it has only been a few
days! Doterra has built my confidence in more ways than one. So I just
wanted to say thanks to Courtney, Marti, Gina! you guys have been
amazing! It has bee the best investment I have ever made!

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Amazing! :)

The best sun lotion is mixing 5 to six drops of Melaluca plus some grape seed oil. that would cover your whole body.
Love always from Las Vegas.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Pregnacy and oils

I used peppermint & lavender for nausa with my last baby at my
midwives suggestion- and I used it reguraly (pre doTerra). My midwife
was brilliant and I wish I'd used her with the others. We did have a
significant heath problem though. Why no peppermint? While your at it
wondering why no clary sage- is it the go to oil for female problems
except during pregnantcy? Sorry if my spelling is a mess- typing on
my phone.
Thanks Heather

This is a nasty infection AND is usually contracted in a hospital. I am attaching
the protocol for MRSA, even though they are not the same it is a great way to
attack this. You will need to be aggressive and consistent. Along with the oils,
show her how to use the DigestZen as a help for her digestive problems.

Thanks,
Pat
