Re: [Everything doTERRA] low iron

My grandmother always took a spoonful of Black Strap Molasses and was like the everready bunny. It really does work.

Ramona.....One simple thing and good too!!!.....that we have done all our lives for low iron levels is to buy a box of organic raisins and organic Black Strap Molasses and mix them together in a pint mason jar.   You take a tablespoon a day.  Really gives you a boost and works very quickly.    Julie Ann

I'm not sure if this has much to do with oils or if this is something the oils can help with or not, but I am open to any suggestions.

I have been anemic most my life and until February they could not find a cause.  During the last trimester of my pregnancy (this past spring) my iron level got down to 13.  I went on supplements, but they always make me sick and I don't honestly know how effective they are anyway.  They tested me for Celiac Disease which came back positive.  I have 2 children with it as well.   So, I have been eating a Gluten Free diet since then, but I can still tell that my iron is low.  The biggest thing is that I have very little energy and a lot of dizziness.  It's almost to the point that I've wondered if I'm developing Vertigo, except I have no history of any head trauma.  This past friday, while trying to work out, I got so dizzy and light headed, I almost passed out.  I wasn't sure if I would even be able to drive home, but after some rest, it did go away.  I am taking the wellness pack, not perfectly, but I have been on them for several months.  I know they aren't super high in iron, but I was hoping it would be enough.

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas of ways nutritionally I could increase my iron?  I just feel like the supplements aren't very effective, but then again, maybe it's just my paranoia over most vitamins that don't seem to be absorbed well by the body.  I can't eat spinach, but other than that, I am open to anything else.  Would other leafy green vegetables be high in it?  I'm sorry to be rambling.  I'm just tired of feeling so worn out all the time.
