[Everything doTERRA] Oregano and Warts

I have a wart on my finger, and for the last week or so I have been
putting Oregano on it and then covering it with a bandaid. The wart
turned black, but part of my finger turned black/blue/red, the skin is
puffy, and the joint hurts when I bend it. Any information on why this
is?
