Lemongrass is effective at getting rid of them.  Make a spritz with 1/4 cup water and 15 drops of Lemongrass.  Shake often.  Spray on mattresses, bed sheets, etc. Also use up to 10 drops of Lemongrass or melalueca in your wash cycle. 

Once dust mites or bed bugs are gone, you can use better smelling Citrus Bliss or Purify as in a spray to keep them away.
