We spend the holidays doing crafts to decorate the Whole house. It is really fun until the start fighting

Stress would not be so hard to take if it were chocolate covered.

This is true! And my doctor didn't tell me this when I took my boys in to get the first dose, my sister had to tell me & I called my doctor & they told me yes bring them in for the second dose.

I work in a hospital. I wanted to share something will all of you moms out there. I also have children, 4 boys all together, and not a lot of people are aware of this. If you get your children the H1N1 vaccine, they need 2 doses of the vaccination to actually build up the antibodies. There are a lot of cases of small children being hospitalized and even worse, and the parents saying that they were vaccinated.

That's why I choose not to get my kids vaccinated with the H1N1 or influenza. Thanks for the information!

They will definitely still get it if they don't receive that second dose. I find this extremely important, and I wanted to share it with you all.

My hospital will not allow anyone under the age of 18 with cold symptoms. The women at the desk are taking their cold searching among visitores very seriously.

My daughter has a chronic illness and yes I struggle with every decision on everything they want to give her. I have always gone with my gut even when she was 4 days old and needed "exploratory surgery". What horrible words to hear. they have no clue what they were looking for! I let them do the surgery and thank God I did because we would never be as far as we are with her now. she is 3 1/2 and healthy because of prevention. I did get the H1N1 for both of my kids and they are fine. It is scary but you also have to put your faith in the higher power. We live life to the fullest each and every day because we don't know if she will live long or get sick and die tomorrow. In fact, I don't know if I will die tomorrow. I have to homeschool and keep my kids home instead of doing the "normal" things most kids do because she can't get sick. We end up in the hospital for fear of pneumonia. She doesn't fight it off like others do. It frustrates me that people don't get vaccines but each's own. I try not to live in fear and just do what I think is best for my family. Also, I trust our specialist very much. They want her to live long. Pediatricians... Well that's another story. They probably get paid for every vaccine they give to healthy kids. Have a great night and thanks for listening.

You are absolutely right Kristen. I have checked this out because it was a concern for my daughter with a chronic illness. However, they said that with the shortage, one shot is better than no shot. They still may or may not get sick. I'd rather have at least the one shot instead of not getting any just because we think we won't get the other. Thanks for listening.

I love to take the family to Hershey, PA. We've been doing it for the past 3 years or so. They have Hershey Sweet Lights, which is an amazing drive through of holiday lights, we tune the radio to christmas music, it's magical.

Also, we make chocolate lollipops, in red and green (white chocolate), and the kids love to make a Gingerbread house.

I've already got a bag full this year :) I've added some photos to the group album from the Plaza lighting + the silly string fight.

I have friends in the health care industry and the reason you got sick from the vaccine is because you already had something going on inside. You just didn't know it. To my knowledge, you can't get sick from the dead virus in a shot. However, the flu mist is new to me and I am not aware if it is possible. Flu mist has a live virus. If your immune system is compromised, you may want to get the H1N1 but then I was told that the seasonal flu and the H1N1 symptoms are similar and you may have already contracted H1N1. Take care.

I'm not too sure about North Face, although I do know it can be pricey. As for black Friday, you can find some good tips here: http://www.getsetforchristmas.blogspot.com.

I hear Kohl's has great clothing deals. I like Walmart prices.

You can start visits as early as 2 years old. You want to make sure to prepare your child fo r the visits. Talk positvie about the visit and the people they are going to meet. let them go in before and meet everybody in the office, get a feel for it. Alot of dental offices prefer for parents to wait in the waiting room for procedures other that cleaning due space reasons and children just like some adults act better when there parent arent around for them to put on a show for. I've worked in the dental field since 1998 and every office is a lil different if you have questions ask, talk with them about whatever may pop in your head. It never hurts to ask even the smallest of questions. Sometimes it takes more than one visit for the child to be completely comfortable. You have to be patience and very upbeat about everything , try association with other fun activities. Hope this helps

Hello wonderful Mothers:

My son is 14 months.  Can you please share with me at what age he needs a dentist? We are about to enroll in the health insurance (held every year); hence we are not sure if he should be part of Dental or until a year from now.

Many thanks,

Blessings and light :)

Fatima :)

I would have to say... Yes. our bodies have an abundance of "good bacteria" and by using too much sanitizer, or cleaning "too Much" you can set yourself up for other problems that the good bacteria keep in check.
