[Everything doTERRA] Re: boswellic acid

Another great source, if you are interested in learning about
doTerra's Frank, and WHY it is superior to the other species of
Frankincense that is being used in most oils in the market, is to go
to www.builddoterra.com at watch Dr. Hill's presentation called,
"Frankincense, the King of Oils". From my experience, doTERRA's
Frankincense (Boswellia frereana), sourced from Oman, is the most
effective I have used, and would recommend it over any other species
of Frankincense. There are 17 active agents in Frankincense, including
Boswellic acid... getting the best source available is important, and
the testing is showing that the Boswellia frereana from Oman is the
purest. Which is exactly what we have in doTERRA's Frankincense
Essential Oil.
Some other information:
According to Dr. David Hill, researchers from Japan and the University
of Maryland have determined that quality frankincense oil has anti-
inflammatory properties and the all-important boswellic acids. And,
according to Dr. Hill, while some companies claim that boswellic acid
is not necessary for a fully efficacious frankincense oil (or that a
frankincense with boswellic acid in it is not really pure and
unadulterated), "Those that make this claim simply don't understand
boswellic acids, and their role in frankincense oil." Part of that
role is in giving frankincense its powerful anti-inflammatory action.

Dr. H.K. Lin, who has been dedicated to an in-depth study of
frankincense oil, it's properties, consituents and usefulness, gave a
presentation on frankincense oil and cancer at the recent dōTERRA
Convention in Salt Lake City. In this presentation, Dr. H.K. Lin
showed a slide of a GCMS test he performed on dōTERRA's frankincense.
The results were astounding, and he called it the "purest sample that
[he had] ever seen." He also talked about the importance of boswellic
acid as being a key component, one that had to be present for a
frankincense oil to properly match a correct chemical profile for
therapeutic uses.

Nicole Stevens, MSc also spoke of dōTERRA's recent launch. Her
assessment of dōTERRA's frankincense, after completing rigorous MS GC
testing, was that she had never seen samples so pure.

Good luck with your search!
