Re: [Everything doTERRA] Detox/Sensitivity to oils

Just over a year ago I was having a problem with hives.  Several times a week I would either wake up in the morning with patches of them, or develop them sometime through out the day.  This went on for probably 8 or 9 months.  I had an electro dermal screening and they said I was reacting to a number of the oils.  (I was devastated!)  So I stopped using oils for 6 weeks and didn't notice any change in the frequency or intensity of the hives, so I posted a question on this site.  I followed the recommendation to do the GX Assist, then follow with the PB Assist.  I was only able to handle 1 a day and found that if I ate frequently throughout the day, I didn't get the nauseous, yucky feeling.  Anyway, when I completed taking them both, I had 1 patch of hives a week later and NONE since!!!  That was 5 months ago.  It worked for me and I'm so thankful it did!

What about trying simple detoxes, like lemon in his water? He IS drinking enough to flush out his body, right? :)

I have to be careful, as I could detox into my breastmilk and hurt my baby. For about 6 months, I pretty much did lemon and other citrus oils. Then I came down with bronchitis and needed to pull out the big guns. This meant OnGuard and oregano. Add in lots of apple cider vinegar, plus several different oils on my throat and chest for my cough... I ended up with a heat rash that was basically my body detoxing. It went away after 4 or 5 days, but plain coconut oil on the rash really helped soothe the discomfort.

So I've been reading the past posts about allergic reactions/detox
reactions to the oils.  Many have suggested the GX assist and PB
assist regimens.  Although I've also read that the GX assist can be a
harsh cleanse, as well.  Most of these posts end with this advise and
there is no follow up of whether it worked or not.

I would love to hear from anyone who has experienced a rash or other
"allergic" reaction to the oils, what protocol was used, for how long,
and what is your current experience with using the oils.

My dad is currently having a lot of unexplained aches and pains along
with a whole body rash.  Nothing he is using is helping, including the
oils.  He used the oils about a month ago with no reaction, but seems
to think that it's the oils that are causing his skin irritation.  I
don't want to give him the GX assist and have another unpleasant
experience.  Is there a slower, more gentle way to cleanse?  I've done
some research on candida, and I don't think that is a problem, but I
do feel like he is having a toxic reaction.

Thoughts?
