Hello,I just discovered that I may have Von Willebrand's (a blood clotting disorder). For me it manifests it extremely heavy menses (soaking a super tampon in less than an hour). It's been this way for over 22 years and this has caused anemia, low iron storage, bad digestion, fatigue, lightheadedness, etc..The treatment is none too impressive (put me on birth control pills or some other artificial hormones to slow down my menstruation). I will not do that to my body. :)My research is telling me to stay away from anything that would thin my blood further. Asprin, antiinflammatory drugs, gingko, clove, chamomile, wild carrot, red clover, wild lettuce, capsicum, and turmeric. I imagine caffeine, sugar, and alcohol should be avoided as well.Use fish oils with caution. It seems iron, calcium, vitamin k, alfalfa, and shepherds purse can help this condition.I am wondering what can be done with our oils. What oils I should avoid? My first thought is using helichrysum at the time of my period to slow down the bleeding. Maybe massaging it over my abdomen and lower back.Does anyone have any ideas or experiences?Thank you!Arin--
