Re: [Everything doTERRA] Where to Begin

Pat

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I truly appreciate your wealth of knowledge and more your willingness to share it with others. I appreciate the confirmations and support greatly.
I pray for better outcome, as we now have more knowledge and wisdom amongst us.

Never step down from your soap box. That's where we can learn the most from you.

I agree with Gale's suggestions and would like to make a comment regarding all the meds this young man is on. A couple of years ago, when I started with doTerra, I went to my sister and presented her the opportunity to get off some of her meds and treat her problems naturally. She was on 14 different meds a day and some of them were the same ones this young man is on. And the worst part of this is we had just had an intervention with her and her doctor (three different doctors, all prescribing meds to help with symptoms from other meds). She went from 18 meds down to 14. I had her on Breathe for her lung problems, but she would not use any of the other oils. Once when she was in the hospital I put oils on her feet (Frankincense, lemon and Balance). When I went back later in the day she said I couldn't use the oils anymore because the smell bothered her.
She hated the way her life was, she had to be on forced oxygen 24/7. Finally she made a decision to stop all meds and take off the oxygen, she was tired of living this way.
We had the answers and she was afraid to use them, she passed away.
Since that time I have shared, cajoled, threathened, intimidated  (all with love of course) and anything else I could do to encourage others to take back their life.
We all have this tremendouse obligation to help others and to share the power of these oils and of living a more nutritious, fulfilling life.

I will never stop sharing the power of Essential Oils and we are all empowered with knowledge, from our desire to learn and help the body heal itself.
One more note before I step down from my soap box. I truly love my sisters doctor, he is the kindest man I have ever met. He stayed close as my sisters body shut down. With all his schooling and knowledge he was lacking in one thing and that is the body can heal itself when given the proper tools.

Anyone who was at convention would agree with you.  After the presentation from a sweet young woman who said the exact same thing as you!  All her "symptoms" were side effects of the drugs she was on for depression.  I am not a professional – so I don't have as many recommendations – but two things I would suggest.  Look into the "I AM INSTITUTE" – they deal with this type of thing as they discussed it at Convention – and second, make sure they can go off these meds very slowly and under a physicians care because there can be many withdrawal symptoms when you are dealing with these types of medications.  A book I highly recommend is (I believe) called "Patient Heal Thyself" – it is an amazing read and shows how nutrition and other forms of alternative medicine helped restore a young man's life.

My thoughts are with this young man – and I truly hope he is able to finally find a way to HEAL.

Okay, now this is getting really wild. I've spent the last several days researching all the drugs I had previously listed that this young man is on. I want to believe that no physician would intentionally harm their patient, but there are times such as this one when I can't help but wonder what is going on.

This young man is taking prescriptions that have side effects which are exactly what he's taking them for. If that didn't make sense, allow me to explain. He's taking anti-depressentants that have side effects of depression. So, if you will indulge me a bit, please help me figure this out in a bit more detail.

I alread have him on a half dose of LLV, and lemon in his water. This is what I think to do next, and would appreciate your thoughts please.

First and foremost having him detox with GX Assist followed by PB Assist every thirty days.

Second, Melissa and Patchouli under the tongue one drop twice daily

Third, teaching his wife the AT technique for her to give him.

Fourth, melaleuca for the constant nasal infection caused by his scripts.

Fifth, daily capsules of geranium, rosemary, grapefruit, clove (3-4 drops each) for liver support

Sixth, Frank, OnGuard, and Lime (which is good for muscle spasms) on the bottom of his feet daily

Any thoughts (and prayers) would be greatly appreciated

Gale, thanks for giving us the opportunity to learn with such an interesting client.  I'm fairly new at this, so I don't know how to fix all of those things, but Dr. Hill said that for Melissa, it works on "depression, anxiety, expressions of anger, dementia, Alzheimer's, and cognitive impairment."  He said you can apply it "topically for emotional stability and anger reduction."  He also said that you can use Melissa & Frankincense for depression and Melissa & Patchouli for cognitive impairment.

As far as Patchouli goes, he said that it is protective of the central nervous system and, as he said, the tissues of the central nervous system are the most sensitive in the body, so this is a pretty wonderful thing.  He said you can use Patchouli at the base of the skull and bottom of the feet, roof of the mouth, and under the tongue.  He said you can use it really effectively with Balance, Frankincense and Vetiver.

What I'm saying is that I think that Melissa would help with the depression and anger and emotional issues and Patchouli would help with the nerve issues.

Our new, wonderful Lime is, according to Dr. Hill, great for reducing muscle spasms and cramps.  The furocoumarins in our cold-pressed Lime are what helps with this.

As far as cholesterol... is it his cholesterol med that's decreasing the efficacy of his liver?  Maybe someone could address what an effective but gentle cleanse program would be for his system.  Dr. Hill said that Zendocrine is a great cleanse on maybe a quarterly basis for liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, skin, and our enzyme delivery system.  Maybe that would be a good place to start.  He said that can be used effectively with Grapefruit, Clove, and Geranium as well.

You don't sound lame at all.  Look at it this way - you likely know more than he does about essential oils.  Everyone reacts differently and things work better for some people than others.  It's just a matter of finding the right combination.  I like what you've been doing.  You should go with what feels right to you and he should, too.

I'm interested to hear what others have to say.  Please update us with what you end up using and how it works out.

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Where to Begin

I have a client that has sooooo many issues I don't know where to
begin. Please indulge me while I explain.
I have a young man on the following drugs
1) a statin for cholesterol (although he doesn't have cholesterol
issues. He has a liver functioning at about 60%.
2) he is on cymbalta for pain and depression
3) he is on tizanidine for muscle spasms and nerve damage
4) he is on lyricia for nerve pain
5) he is on malamicital for bi-polar and depression
6) he is on fluticasone which is a nasal spray for depression.
7) he has severe anger issues that he's been having to deal with for
many years. He doesn't know where that comes from

He's on all these meds for fibromyalgia.
Not being familiar with any of these drugs, I don't even know where to
begin.
The only thing I've recommended thus far is a GX Assist followed by PB
Assist and he's on a half dose of the LLV. He's also using lemon in
his water daily. Am I anywhere near going down the right path here?
Can anyone please help me figure out the best way to help this young
man? He desperately wants to feel his best so he can support his
family and be around for them.
Also, knowing I sound lame, please give as much details as possible.
I'm way out of my league here and don't want to harm anyone.

Thanks in advance for all your input. I value all the knowledge you
all share with me in this endeavor.
Gale
