[Everything doTERRA] Alternative to Capsules

If I don't have capsules available, but the advice given is to take
the certain EO by capsule, is there an alternative?
Drop it on the tongue?
Put it in a swig of water?
I just 2 seconds ago made the mistake of taking a suggested 4 drops
oregano, 4 drops on guard, and 4 drops lemon in a swig of water
because I don't have any capsules.
Yikes!! Can we say LIPS ON FIRE!!!! :(
Seriously one of my dumber moments....
