We'll see if others with more experience agree, but my first thought is Frankincense applied topically for reducing the scarring and plaque. I'd also try Helichrysum. 

I pulled this up from an old post on scar tissue by kdstella:

Scar-Far-Away - Blend 
(Blend in this order) 
12 drops of Helichrysum 
6 drops of Geranium 
6 drops of Frankincense 
6 drops of Lavender 
5 drops of Lemongrass 
1 oz Coconut Carrier oil
