Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Invitation Wording

I think it's wise that we don't go overboard on our diagnostics or medical assistance when helping people, but to say in an invite that they can learn how to "treat" an illness is a statement of fact. THAT is why we use doTERRA is it not? When I use OnGuard on my son when he has a cold, I've just treated my son, same thing with allergies, or athletes foot... Choosing the verbiage carefully is one thing, completely skirting what we use the oils for is another. They learn how to treat, I DONT TREAT them, THEY do according to what they need, but they still attend a class to learn what the oils do, and how to apply the oils for their therapeutic benefits.
We use the oils to treat, to heal and to cure, if we're so afraid to say that they do, what's the point in sharing them?

Awesome Jill!  I'd love to see what you come up with and maybe we can all use your creativity! It's so nice to be able to share on here and help each other out with all our ideas and inventions. I have found lots of awesome creative ideas to use. We should all put together a book of ideas exclusive to doterra...LOL! Thanks so much for getting us to "think" about how to use correct wordage. So important to be flexible yet professional. Glad you had a great introduction to the oils. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the advice Jan. My upline spoke with me early on after enrolling about being cautious with our wording to people because of the legalities if it all. When I need to write up something like this, I turn to doterra's information and just reword it. For my invites, I used a little of this & a little of that being careful to stay away from any medical claims. I love your invites tho, mine aren't near that pretty!

Hey Jill,
Just saw your post. Yes, it is very important how you word your invites. And just to make sure, I think we have to be careful to not say that we can treat, cure or diagnose any illness. Unless you are a licensed Massage Therapist, or Doctor, us laymen...and women LOL have to be careful to not get in to the legalities of it all. Just as an example,  I have had the training and certification for the ATT, but make it very clear to the people I give it to that I am not a Massage Therapist and it is not a massage, but an essential oil application. So even on my cards I state, Certified in Aromatouch Technique Application. That way I cover my butt, and doTERRA's too. I actually have them sign a waiver for disclaimers. Here is an invite my upline sent me to use and change the locations and dates. Maybe you can use something like this. Good luck with your upcoming classes.
