Also some dog advice, make sure he is good and tired before going to bed.  Sounds like he has way too much energy.  Know it's hard to take a new puppy on a good walk but it will tire him out.  Also make sure everything is quiet before bed.  If you have kids don't let the kids play with the puppy at least an hour before bed.  Sounds like as well that he is too wound up when he goes to bed.  

And yes Serenity will help as well.  But I would be careful with a puppy this young.
