I never thought that it was either until I researched it and found that comment on pubmed. My brother has MS and I always thought it was an immune disease but now they are saying that it can be one or the other. I personally do not know. I was simply passing on information that I read from those much smarter than I am.

I think what I read was that the propensity for it was congenital.

 

I met with a lady in Mesa who agreed with what I had read. It looks like I need to do more studying on this. My brother was not diagnosed with MS until he was in his early 50's. He could have had it longer but they did not find it until later in his life.
