[Everything doTERRA] Re: 'Essential Oils kill viruses'

Hi, Daniel!

We all have different definitions of the same words, but Webster says
the definition of VIRUCIDAL is having the capacity to or tending to
destroy or inactivate viruses. In the OnGuard article, they used the
word "attenuate", about which Webster says "Definition of ATTENUATE.
1: reduced especially in thickness, density, or force." As you
explore PubMed, and you can spend weeks in there, you will find a lot
of different language to explain the same thing. With as much as we
know about essential oils today, our scientific community is still
functioning a great deal on speculation and theory. We don't know why
the oils do what they do. There are so many mechanisms of action, it
can be difficult to track them all. Each oil functions differently,
but each oil with antiviral tendencies has the same outcome of
eliminating the virus. Dr Hill uses the language that certain oils
stop the virus from being able to communicate with cells, which stops
replication (and ultimately reduces the viral count to zero). In a
few weeks, at Convention, we will be able to see more studies with
OnGuard, and meet some of the researchers who are doing this work. I
encourage you and your wife to attend! If you are uncomfortable with
saying that essential oils kill a virus, you will find the perfect way
to communicate with those you are teaching.

I am so excited for you and your wife in this journey!

Love, Tamalu
