[Everything doTERRA] Re: Colic Clarification

My oldest daughter had colic. We used Gripe Water. You can buy it
here.
http://www.colicshop.com/wellements-gripe-water.shtml. It made a HUGE
difference. There are other brands of gripe water, but they don't
work. This was the only brand that was worth buying. Of course this
was before doTERRA. We also alternated gripe water with very dilluted
peppermint oil water. Colic is severe gas that babies are unable to
pass, so between the peppermint, and the Gripe Water it was
manageable. I would warm a coffee mug of water, (testing on your wrist
to make sure it wasn't too warm.) add a drop of peppermint oil, (taste
it, and if your eyes water, it is too strong!) Sweeten it with a bit
of stevia so it is not so pepperminty. I would then give her about 3/8
tsp in a syringe right before and right after feeding. She loved the
peppermint water, and she was a different baby within minutes. It
would settle her stomach immediately. She also LOVED the gripe water.
We were flying back from visiting our family in Pittsburgh, and the
colic hit in the airport. Not good when you are about to board a
plane! People were staring and mentally preparing to sit as far away
as possible! I gave her a dose of Gripe Water, and Instantly she was
better. We got some crazy looks! My sister in law laughed that the
observers probably wondered what was in that syringe!
