My husband was laying concrete and got chemical burns all around his legs (where the top of his boots hit) and on his fingers.  The first day they didn't appear infected, but a couple days later, they were really red.  We soaked hot wash clothes in Epsom Salt and put them on top of the wounds for 15-20 mins. and also added a hot pad on top.  We had him take Oregano and Melaleuca in a capsule twice daily and added Melaleuca and lavendar to the infected location.  After about 4 or 5 days, we saw a huge improvement!!  Good luck!!
