Re: [Everything doTERRA] Adopting and want to breast feed

Sarah,

The following information was taken from the CD "The Complete Writings
of Dr. John R. Christopher" I hope it helps...

"Despite its being a nuisance to farmers, Blessed Thistle is one of
the great herbs, Dr. Christopher taught. Here is one of his favorite
stories on the blessings of Blessed Thistle:

"A lady came into my office in Orem, Utah, not just another patient,
but a very dignified and majestic woman, tall and blond. She said,'I'm
going to adopt a baby. I've heard you have a program that will help me
breast-feed my baby. It is our fourth adopted child and I haven't been
able to breast-feed any of them."'

"I gave her some Blessed Thistle and told her to take a cup of the tea
at least three times a day. I also advised her to start the mucusless
diet, and to drink lots of fresh juice and distilled water each day."

"Several months later she returned to see me, she looked like a queen
wearing a long purple robe trimmed with white fur--which she threw
back, and there was the baby nursing! The mother was so blond, and the
baby was a full-blooded Navajo. The lady said, `I love my other three
children so much, yet I feel so close to this one; it is blood of my
blood.' She didn't know that breast milk is really like an oral blood
transfusion and that the baby really is blood of her blood. The lost
Books of the Bible say the same thing."

Even more touching is the story of the young mother who had been
killed in an automobile accident.

"The woman's sister, about seventeen years old, asked if she could
nurse her little niece. The baby had been thrown clear of the car and
hadn't been hurt, but it would not drink formula or cows milk.

"I started her on Blessed Thistle tea. In a couple of days, she was
nursing the baby! She reared it until it was weaned!"
