Its so hard to see someone this young on Ibu! I would suggest the Frankincense to continue since it is such an effective oil for inflammation, I would use Black Pepper and Wintergreen also. The Wintergreen is almost like aspirin due to its high amount of methyl salitate (?) And unfortunately you need more than a sample to facilitate his wellness. My step son is 9. After a year of trying to figure out why his "cheek" hurt we were finally given a diagnosis of fibrous displasia. The Dr originally was going to do a small surgery to do a biopsy of the jaw line and ended up seeing a bunch of fibrous tissue and decided that while he was in there he would scrape it out to slow the process of tissue build up. He was fine for about 6 months then the swelling and "cheek" pain came back again and comes back every 3 months or so for about 3 weeks at a time. The Dr does not want to do more surgery until he is a teenager so for now he is taking ibuprofen daily to prevent swelling. When it becomes inflamed he takes an ibu every 6 hours. Too much for a 9 year old in my opinion. I just wish I can find a routine to keep this at bay. I have not purchased any oils yet but got a sample of frankincense and myrrh and have used that for 2 days. I cant say too much if it has worked or not because he still had the ibu (dad isnt totally convinced of oils) and he will be at his moms for the next few days so if its still there I can try again when he comes back. What oils would you recommend and how often should they be used?--
