[Everything doTERRA] Re: Dental Care Concerns

As a dental hygienist for 24 years, I would highly recommend treating the tooth. You may be able to stop the decay from spreading, but the decay that is present still needs to be addressed. Liken it to having a decayed branch on a tree, it is needs to be removed and cannot be restored. Oils will not restore decay. She could likely get an abscess or additional problems without treatment.  She may opt to not get the root canal, but either way, the decay needs to be removed.

Hi Everyone!

A friend found out she has a cavity underneath an existing filling close to the root.  Her dentist recommended a crown and possible root canal since it's close to the nerve.  She's not experiencing any discomfort, simply as a precaution.  I've read the warnings on root canals.  She's asking if there are any oils to help.  I was going to advise oil pulling with fractionated coconut oil, oregano and clove.  Not sure if it'll get UNDER the filling though.  Think it'll help?

Thanks in advance for your advice!
