Re: [Everything doTERRA] intune and resistant tween

What is the actual problem? Does he want to be on medication or just stay the way he is without doing anything? How bad is it? In what ways is it affecting his life? There are so many variations of ADD, a bit more info would be helpful. Most ADD can be a blessing once they are out of the school system but if he has severe learning disabilities with it than perhaps a dietary approach could be more helpful. At least a parent can control what food comes in the house whereas you can't force him to use oils. Avoiding sugar, gluten, corn, canola oil and other GMO foods and chemical additives is crucial for any brain issue and so is limiting time in areas of EMF's - computers, cell phones, etc. Kids like this should be encouraged (or subtly forced, lol) into spending time in nature. Hiking, swimming, etc - sports that are not competitive. While I doubt he is open to it if you can get him doing yoga, that would be extremely beneficial (maybe find some "cool" men or boys who do it before mentioning it). Parenting sure increases our relationship skills, lol!

Would he be open to using the liquid fish oil? If not you could always put it in salad dressing or a smoothie.  Can't remember the name now but it tastes like Wild Orange without a trace of fish. Omega 3 is crucial for brain health. I just cracked mine open from last year's convention kit and it is pretty tasty! I have an aversion to most supplements in pill form so this one will become part of my regular routine.

Basil is good for mood changes. I find Vetiver is too but it makes most people sleepy. For me it brings on happiness and quick mood change which may be associated with my ADD. People with ADD will often find they react the opposite of how "normal" people do. Energy products can put me to sleep and sleep products don't work on me for example.

I've recently done a workshop and have become a Harmony Integration coach. Those techniques have quieted my mind and helped my focus immensely. Meditation would be helpful too.  If you want to email me privately we can set up a phone call and I can teach you one of the techniques. This will only work on him if you have a good and trusting relationship. If you fight all the time he will fight the process too. detoxexpert@gmail.com. There's a bit on my new blog: www.harmoniousoutcomes.com. More to come soon!

I just bought intune for my non diagnosed but most likely ADD almost teen child.
We are going through testing now.
When I told him we are going to try an oil instead of meds(it hurts to see how the neighbors kids are on their meds),
he told me absolutely not.   Any suggestions to help this mom.   PS. I had some Serenity and have been using in the evening and
a little in the am in the diffuser but it makes me too groggy to work.
Any thoughts would be very welcome.
