because the are not getting successful results from traditional
medicine, I know that is what started me. I have Lyme disease and am
Hypothyroid (19 yrs) and unfortunately, both are issues that are high
risk for misdiagnosis and ineffective treatment. Both do best with a
doctor that is willing to look outside standard lab tests and protocol.
(Naturopaths or drs who are open to alternative treatments).
I also struggled with a thyroid that fluctuated dramatically. Finally in
frustration I started to do research and ran across a book called Stop
the Thyroid Madness and discovered that a lot of people have the same
issues. Part of my problem was that I was taking Synthroid which has
documented issues of inconsistent amounts in the medication. I switched
to natural thyroid (Armour) and haven't had problems with it fluctuating
since. The other issue was that I wasn't getting enough to stabilize my
thyroid. Since my switch I haven't had problems.
So in addition to the oils she might want to re-evaluate her
conventional thyroid treatment as well. Should you, or anyone read the
book mention above, please keep in mind that it was written by a woman
who suffered with thyroid issues for decades without proper treatment
and she is bitter, almost to the point of rabid. You have to just
disregard that but she has a lot of good information in it and it
enabled me to find a doctor who was able help.
