My feeling is that he's not adjusted to his new environment yet. Have her try Lavender for stress. And he'll eventually eat. Animals won't starve themselves. Have her keep trying the chicken (I feed my own dogs raw chicken and other meats and meaty bones also), and try sitting with him and feeding him little pieces by hand.

I was a certified obedience trainer, and worked at a doggie daycare run by a woman who makes raw food mixes and sells organic chicken necks and backs for dogs, cats, and ferrets. If she continues to have trouble, perhaps they can help. http://www.aplaceforpaws.com/
