I’m so sorry Ramona! My husband had a severe pain in his abdomen last year – and he thought it was gall-stones, kidney-stones, or just about anything else in the world – because the pain was so severe. He went to the doctor and found that he basically had a ‘blockage’ in his intestines – and that he was severely constipated. It was very painful. Sometimes, there can be a ‘kink’ in the track and that can prove to be more serious. I would watch it – and you decide if he needs to have someone check it out more. But, if it were me, I would be applying digestzen, ginger, rosemary and orange on his abdomen (just a little of each in FCO) – and then apply a warm rice pack every hour or couple of hours until you see some elimination. Hang in there – and good luck!
Brooke

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Stomach pain in 22 month old
I'm a little at my wit's end with my youngest baby. The last few days, usually in the late afternoon, he will start saying he is "gucky". He will walk around, holding his bum and wanting us to change him. We will check and his isn't ever poopy. At first, we thought maybe he was starting to feel something and would try putting him on the potty, but this only made him more upset and agitated. He is a healthy pooper-in that he usually has 2-3 a day, but they are usually in the mornings. However, lately, even that has slowed a bit. At night, he wakes up, about 2 hours after he has gone to bed-just crying hysterically. He doesn't know what he wants and acts like he is in pain. Last night, it was 5 hours of dealing with it. His diet is gluten free/dairy free and refined sugar free. Last night, when he was so bad, his tummy was super hard. I rubbed digestzen on it, several times and he did start to burp and pass gas, so I'm guessing it is all connected. I'm just not sure what I should watch for and maybe eliminate, so it doesn't get bad again. He does eat lots of fruits and vegetables-fresh and I make pancakes, most days, using ground flax seed, buckwheat, GF oats and brown rice flour. I haven't made them in about 4 days though, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. I'm racking my brain to figure out what triggers and to make sure it isn't anything more serious. I just don't think I can do another night like last night again! Ramona |
