Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: ADHD

Ramona,
So very true! I try to avoid social things as they never serve healthy food. How can you tel l your 3 year old no cake? I ask ed church leaders to buy plain not colored treats and they looked at me like I lost my marbles. They give candy galore! Teachers are so misinformed.it is unfortunate that they share their wrong info also.my cousin was told coconut oil was bad for you! A shame! She knew better cause I taught her! Stay strong and do what God intended us to do! Now I do my "crazy" stuff just so people notice lol! It hurts when a family member is sick and they don't even want to listen :(
Thanks for sharing.helps to hear others experiences.

>
>I actually started out with no immunizations with him.  I signed off on all the hospital ones so they couldn't give him any.  At 13 months old, I took him in and got completely bawled out by the pediatrician.  He really bullied me and threatened to turn me in if I didn't catch him up that day. I was scared and felt very hopeless. I had no one who supported my decision to not immunize so I let him give him everything he had missed to that point.  4 days later, he wouldn't wake up.  He was unresponsive and after calling 911, they found that his blood sugar was at 17.  He should have never woken up.  They determined it to be a metabolic condition, but within a year, he was over all symptoms from that.
>
>I didn't make the connection, until recently as I've been studying the affects of toxins on our children.  None of my children will ever have another vaccine.  I'm not so easily bullied anymore!
>
>We took Sam off as many refined things as we could in January.  As a family, we have been eating mostly whole foods.  It's still not perfect.  I would like to reach the point where we eat more beans and little meat-but babysteps. This is a big step, as it is for a family of 8.  I even had my son's health teacher tell him that the diet I was feeding them would cause him to have allergies because he wasn't having them in his system.  I HATE how much misinformation is out there.
>
>Sorry for the tangent, but I have to say that while the progress is slow, I do feel like these changes are helping him.  The first few weeks, it was like he was being weaned off a drug.  And 2 weeks ago, he got into some gluten at school and for 4 days, everything caused a melt down.
>
>Thank you for letting me share my story.  So many people think I'm crazy and think I'm mean that I'm feeding my kids food that was given to us in the form God intended, rather than from a million different processing plants!  It's funny how personal people can take it when you tell them your kids don't eat a lot of the stuff that their kids do.  Social events are not fun when we walk in with our own food! LOL!
