This might sound silly but I have an upper dental plate. Last Feb. I had TMJ, so painful. Used oils also, went to the chiropractor, thinking my jaw was out of line, it was some. My plate had coffee and tea stains, that was really bothering me, so asked the dentist if it could be removed. The answer was no, so then knew the only way was a new denture plate, mine was over 20 years old, so it was time I guess. Wow, guess what, that also solved my TMJ. I guess my plate was so worn down that a new denture was a uplift! (HA) So could it be your teeth are worn down so much by grinding them every nite that would be causing the TMJ. Hope you can find an oil to stop the grinding, but don't know how to get an uplift on the teeth! Now 8 months later, no TMJ, thank goodness! This is my experience with TMJ.
