Remember he is just a baby, so even though an adult might do it numerous times a tiny baby should only have it applied once a day. Be consistent however.

The first night I saw him I thought he had poked himself in the eye.
It was swollen and black and blue near the tear duct. Last night it
was just full of puss so it was puffy.
