Julie Ann in SC here. I sympathize with you because the majority of people don't even know that the testing of essential oils is where the standard begins. I have professionals, hospitals and doctors offices that want that extra assurance so I asked that it be shared with us and Emily Wright gave me the 6 tests that are done on doTERRA essential oils. This just might get you excited because now you have this company validation to back up what we doTERRA users already know....that we are the "best of the best" and none other can compare in the essential oil market...PERIOD. I don't know if you realize this, but our company pays for the GC/MS testing, and our OWNERS pay for the other 4 tests out of their pockets.....that is how dedicated they are from a purity, potency and power point of view with these oils of ours. ps...and it is IMPORTANT that you know this...
the other essential oil companies as a rule, only do the GC/MS tests....then brag about how pure, organic, and pesticide free theirs are....and they haven't even done the astringent tests to prove it. WE DON'T BRAG ABOUT IT....WE JUST PROVE IT!!!
Here are the tests conducted on our oils prior to release from quarantine:
GC/MS (Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer)
Organoleptic test
TPC (total place count—microbial)
FTIR (similar to GCMS although not as detailed)
Heavy Metal
I hope this helps settle the questions for your potential customers. Don't give up on them....just prove the difference with the aroma test.....have them smell theirs, and then have them smell ours. Then put a drop of peppermint on the back of their neck (with their permission) and see their reaction. doTERRA simply works and sometimes you just have to prove it to them.
