You are pretty on target with the oils you mentioned, I am including a protocol
from another medical professional that worked well for him.
He used Melaleuca and Helichrysum for the first application and Frankincense for
the second. He alternated these oils every 2 hours the first day and every three hours
the second day and then 3-4 times a day. Even after the hives are gone continue the
protocol for another couple of days.
Not only should the oils be put on the affected area but dripped down the spine and
gently rubbed in.
For better spreading you might want to use a little coconut oil, it won't dilute the oil
itself, but will help for spreading over a large area if needed.
This protocol should also be used on any open sores infected with MRSA.
I am not a medical professional and I am not attempting to diagnose, these
are suggestions only.

Hi,
I am a new doterra consultant, and am a pharmacist. I have been
asked at the hospital in which I am employed to help a patient who
has hives everywhere due to an allergic reaction to Vancomycin. She
was being treated for MRSA. Modern Essentials lists peppermint and
melaleuca as primary for itching. Melaleuca is also listed as primary
for MRSA, as is peppermint. Lavender is also an option, and I loved
the profile for Roman chamomile, in that it "neutralizes
allergies".. The physician is open to anything the patient wants to
use topically. They are already treating her with 125 mg Solu-Medrol
IV every 8 hours, and hydroxyzine orally, but she is still pretty
miserable. I will need to keep it simple, so the family and nursing
staff can be consistent with the application. Any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
