Hi! I'm a pretty new consultant and I'm super pumped about my new job.
I would love some tips. Here are my issues:
1. What is your one-line hook for the people that ask you what this is
all about? I live in a small town and just yesterday was hanging up
some posters about my business. The lady at the grocery store said,
"whats this all about?". I don't have one good answer in my head that
will really catch people, kwim? I usually spit out something regarding
the definition of oils and that they can help you with everything from
cleaning to pain, etc. But it always comes out kind of choppy. Anyone
have any tips on this? Esp for those who think oils are just "new age"
or equate them to just perfume and soaps.
2. I live in a very rural area and want to start marketing my product
to the gift shops, salons, even vet clinics in my town. I am a
certified veterinary technician and hope to use the oils to help
animals in some way as well, and possible take that aspect to another
level. In short, I don't know how to do it. How does it work? Do you
call and make an appt, then bring in a sample? Do you offer to sell
them some product or try to convince them to be a consultant right off
the bat? Confused, help!
I am very good at the science and applications of EO..but I feel kind
of lost in the sales world. I am currently a SAH mom with two young
babies and this is my only job right now so I need to make this work!
