[Everything doTERRA] Re: Lavender kept a child from falling asleep?

I'll chime in and say that while my 8 yo hasn't been diagnosed with anything she's a "spirited" child and needs only about 7 hours of sleep a night (as opposed to 9-11 being "normal" for this age) -- lavender relaxes her, but too much or on her skin makes her stay up longer (we diffuse it on a stone pinned to her pillow) -- peaceful child ramped her up... damn.  But she likes vetiver again if diffused on a necklace or cotton ball around her -- and she wouldn't give up the white fir I got near Xmas time... that was a dream over the holidays in terms of her behavior.

So I'd try muscle testing some of the "soothing" single oils and letting the kid smell test them! and see what comes up. And reduce the amount used or try the diffusing method either on a stone or a cotton ball or with a diffuser (but that may be more than he can handle?) .

Calm is a good thing -- also remind her that these kinds of times tend to go in cycles... he may be in a high energy cycle and he will cycle back down again!

best,
a
