Re: [Everything doTERRA] itchy, hivey rash from oils?

Oh my, I Tammy one of those people!  I have been using the oils for ayear with rashes and hives but now I am so much better!  Definitely detox, especially for new users but it is worth it!

Unfortunately some people need to detox before using the oils. They have enough power to pull toxins, so you have to take it slow and easy. If you are afraid of the lemongrass then may I recommend you make your own capsules of 4 drops oregano and 5 drops each of melaleuca and lemon. Take this twice a day for 10 days (only 10). If two bothers you then just do one. Drink lots of lemon water to flush the toxins and stay away from carbs, yeast loves to feast on sugar. After the ten days, take 5 days of PB Assist.  Now wait 10 days and then repeat protocol, this time making sure you take two capsules a day, also followed by the PB Assist.

The GX cleanse has lemongrass in it.  I am afraid to try cleanse after having such a severe reaction.  I actually had to go to the ER due to severe blistering and toes turning purple and now skin is sloughing off.  I know you said that this is not from the oils but it seems like strange coincidence that skin reaction is in all the places where the lemongrass was applied.  I love the oils and can't wait until this clears up so I can start using them again.  I really miss them!  I am not blaming the oils, I think its just me and my own body reacting.

It is really difficult to make a determination without knowing more history. I would stop all oils and do the GX and PB cleanse. There is something going on with you and the oils are not the cause but they could pull toxins. You might want to at least start this and then let me know how you are doing and we'll adjust from there.

I was using only one drop of oil on neck for for thyroid and 2 on fungus foot.  The blistering foot reacation I am having is on top of foot and between toes where I didn't even apply the oil.  I was wondering if this might be some sort of toxins releasing through my foot.  My neck rash appears to be clearing up now.  My foot hurts so bad and is so swollen I  can barely walk on it. I look like a leapor with all these open oozing sores!  Help! Any suggestions to help make it better faster?  My family wants me to go to MD to get antibiotics but I really don't think that will solve the problem and I really hate taking them.  Should I start the cleanse now if anyone thinks this is toxins?

You have obviously used too much oil and probably should have done the cleanse first. These oils are really powerful and you have to use them very sparingly.  I would dilute as you suggested but I would also cleanse first.

Hi there,
I am new to oils and have been enjoying using them.  I have been using lemongrass and peppermint as suggested for hypothyroidism on the base of my neck and lemongrass on my foot for an extreme case of athlete's foot.  After 3 days the athelete's foot went away and there was no itch but I continued with the lemongrass just to be sure for 2 more weeks but then itch started to come back but it was more of all over so I was thinking that the fungus was coming back especially between my pinky toe where it had been the worst so I put alittle cotton ball with lemongrass between the pinky toe for 2 days and it ate the skin right off inside!  It is now all raw and oozy and now my foot itches all over and is getting hives and blisters this has also happened on my neck where I was putting the lemongrass and peppermint and on the hand that I was using to apply it!  It is sooo uncomfortable, I have had to resort to steroid cream for the itch.  It has been 1.5 weeks with no improvement and I have stopped the use of  all oils for now :(  Any suggestions?  I was gonna do the cleanse but decided to wait until this cleared up since it has those same ingredients in them.  Should I have been diluting those oils?  I used them neat as it said in the book, may be sensitive to skin.  I will definitely dilute when this clears as I would still like to use it for hypothyroidism or should I avoid altogether since I had this reaction?
Thanks in advance for any advice!  Emy
