[Everything doTERRA] AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm)

My father, age 82, has had an aneurysm between his heart and abdomen
for about 3 years and has semi-annual check ups to monitor for change
in the size of the "bubble". There has been significant growth since
last month at 4.6 and now yesterday at 5. It has been determined he
needs surgery but not until he has an exam from his cardiologist to
see if he if fit for surgery. Since this is the 3rd leading cause of
sudden death for men over 60 we want to be proactive with the EO's
but need some guidance. The Modern Essential book recommends cypress,
helichrysum, melaleuca and frankincense. They don't have a diffuser
so can he apply those topically and on the reflex points? Also, herbs
are recommended (Cayenne pepper, Garlic and Hawthorn Berry) but I
don't know how much. I assume they are to be taken in a capsule?
Please help ASAP. Many thanks, as always.
