Re: [Everything doTERRA] ear wax

This can be very hazardous, especially if the wax from the cone shaped candle
drops into his ear.
I saw a show on TV with the ear candles and they used a person and an empty
pop bottle.
Both the person and the empty pop bottle got residue that looked like ear wax.
I would be cautious about using them;

The health food stores have ear candles that pull out the wax and yeast.

The candles are about a foot long and are cone shaped.  They are

about 1 inch in diameter at the top. You cut a hole in a paper plate

and stick the candle through it.  The paper plate catches the residue

of the candle as it burns down.  You light the end of it so it will start smoking.

You place the candle in the ear and the smoke draws out all of the gunk.  It

gets clogged quickly so you need to push the gunk out of the hole with a skewer

or chopstick.

The first time I used this on my downs syndrome he was afraid of the

fire.  He was a small child though.  If this child would have the same problem,

light it in another room and bring it into him.  And if the child likes fire, I'd

do it out of his sight.

My downs syndrome son is full of yeast.  My husband is as well.  We are

agressively working on them to clear them out.  My husband's "ear infections"

that the doctors have not been able to figure out, are finally getting taken

care of.  We discovered the problem is yeast not infection. We discovered

that when I rubbed Melaleuca on the back of his ears and the next morning

liquidy, sticky yeast was all over his hair and pillow.  It had drawn it out.

I diffuse a lot of oils to help my son.  Sometimes he gets dressed before

I have a chance to get the oils on him.  Once he's dressed, there is no

taking off those clothes.  That would upset his regime.

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] ear wax

I have a friend who has a 18 year old autistic child who has a really
bad ear wax problem.  He will not let the doctors touch him to take
care of it.  Is there an oil or something that will help with this?  I
know we are not supposed to put them in our ears...Thanks for your
help.
