[Everything doTERRA] Re: how to increase breastmilk

I echo Shannon's reply about nursing on demand, snuggling with baby, etc.. I am not big on pumping, as I feel that can in many ways do more damage than good-(this is my opinion as a retired doula and childbirth educator) I would also suggest lots of water, and gentle massage using extra virgin olive oil and lavender. I also have a product that mother's swear by, and I have found to be fantastic-Nursing Magic,  all natural all herbal. But, first and foremost, rest, good nutrition- good fats, avocados, coconut oil, etc., water and just nurse, nurse, nurse!

Hugs!

Does anyone know anything about the NOW essential oils? A friend has a
health food store and sells these
essential oils. One of my downline went in to introduce her to
DoTerra. She said NOW is certified and pure, with no fillers and does
the same testing as DoTerra does. She said the price is too vastly
different where she couldn't see her customers paying the difference.
They did the smell test with Lavender and didn't notice much
    difference.
She has Frankincense for $7.99, so you know it can't be the same
quality. Any other suggestions to bring up to her? I could really use
    some help! Thank you! Joy

I am a nursing mom, my baby is only 5 months. My milk supply is
really low right now and I am not ready to be done nursing. It's the
best for my baby and really hope to get my milk supply up! Does
anyone have any good suggestions on what I can do to get a better milk
    supply?

I am not sure if any of the EO's can help, there probably is something. I
would suggest pumping after every feeding, this will stimulate to help more
milk production. You can also cut out as much dairy as possible from your
diet and increase whole grains. Good Luck!!

I'm not sure about oils for this one, but I had this concern the first couple months of my baby's lives.  I used Organic Mother's Milk Tea, and ate lots of oatmeal (a lactation specialist told me it would help with production).  I know that peppermint dries up your milk so steer clear of that for the time being.  Hope that helps a little and hopefully someone else has had experience to share too!

Oh yea, and for sure pump after each feeding.  Sometimes it feels like your efforts are in vain, but it does work.  I was determined to nurse my twins, it would have been easy to give up, but I wasn't willing to.  Be patient and consistent!  Good Luck and hang in there.  It's WELL worth it!

I have a good friend who is suffering from a chronic bladder
infection. She is 91 years old and has been on LOTS of antibiotics in
the last few months. The doctor said the infection may be IN her
bladder and is going to start her on an antibiotic that she takes
every 6 hours for 5 days. She is taking Coumadin for her heart, so
I'm wondering if that changes what would be good for her to take.
    Please help!

    Patricia Leavitt <doterradiscover@gmail.com> Sep 27 08:14PM -0600 ^

She needs to treat the infection first and then do the cleanse. She is
    probably to
    ill to cleanse first.
I would get size 00 capsules and fill them with the following:
    12 drops of OnGuard
    6 drops of Oregano
    2 drops of Frankincense

Take them three times a day with pure raw cranberry juice. Not the
sweetened, the 100% pure from the health
food store. It's not real delicious but it works. Keep taking the blend for
a few days after you feel better to make
sure you get all the infection.

You could also appy the following oils to the abdomen/upper pubic are,
followed be a warm compress to drive the oils in.

    Equal drops of:
    Cinnamon
    Oregano
    Lemon
    Frankincense

And a little carrier oil for the heat.

    Which cleanse?  GX or Zendocrine?
    Thanks for your suggestions!

The new revised LVP has smaller pills for that very reason. If you already have it, may I suggest you give her a 3 day supply...or even just one day and see how she handles swallowing the pills. There are 11 that you take a day now. I broke it up in to 4 times .3, 3, 3, and 2, to take through out the day. It has helped me both assimilating it in my body as well as not gagging on the pills or having any heart burn or nausea. Hope this helps. I'm sure there will be more suggestions to come. Hi Everyone!

I'd like to say that I've been on the LLV for 5 days now and have seen a
huge difference in my energy levels! Rob Young promised we would! I take
mine like you throughout the day. We need to sustain the amount we have
circulating in our bloodstream and it tapers off after so many hours (just
like medications). I don't believe that by doubling the dose because you
forget the rest of day is in anyway beneficial. I would think that what the
body doesn't require is just excreted and they are too good to waste. Anyone
else have thoughts on this? Bottom line everyone should take them!

Well, I started taking the LLV everymorning, I just get to busy and forget
to take the other half. For the first week
I really petered out by late afternoon. So this week I am splitting it up,
half in the morning and half in the afternoon.
It will be intesting to see the results. This is the first day and I got up
at 4:30, it is 8:30 here and my energy level
is great. I think Rob knew what he was talking about!!

It's through aromatools.com and it looks great.  When I was at the convention I
asked about it.  It is missing one of the two sections; in other words, there's
the section where you search for the ailment and it gives you the oil and the
section where you search for the oil and it gives you the ailments, etc., and it
leaves out one of those so that it can fit the rest into the book.

MaryAmber.....I used Birch and Peppermint on the poison ivy I got last
summer and the results were DRASTIC! It dried up before it even got
started. I would think about soaking the clothes in a large tub with those
oils in them in hot water without touching them...before I put them in the
wash. Don't know whether that would work or not. Just use thick gloves on
    your hands. Julie Ann

Do not use Garnier shampoo! when I was using it, my hair fell out in
clumps. I will try the Rosemary as well.
