[Everything doTERRA] oiling and energy work

I had an interesting thought this morning while doing some energy work
for a friend who just lost her father unexpectedly... if energy is
instant, and distance doesn't matter, then could we apply the energy
of the oils distantly? I know I'm getting into the "woowoo" area for
some... it was a thought that came to me that stuck, and when I try to
dismiss it, it comes back, and usually when it does that, I know I
need to really look at it. Any energy workers out there have any
thoughts on this?
