Thank you all for your responses. I gave him the technique a few days ago and touched base with his wife yesterday. She said the day after he could actually sit at his desk the whole day at work...huge! And that he has been feeling pretty on top of it.
I gave him the list of oils you all suggested so he can get what he thinks he needs in the future. I recommended that he have his wife do the technique on him regularly but he doesn't want to buy oils right now. I think that's okay, he will:-)

What has helped the 2 disks in my neck in addition to the ATT is marjoram for spasms, lemongrass & helichrysum for the tissue, balance for alignment, w/ white fir & wintergreen (birch does better if you have it) for pain. The helichrysum also helps with the pain and I mix that with clove for my knee and sometimes I do apply that combo to my neck as well, but the clove is warm so be careful.
