[Everything doTERRA] Re: shoulder surgery recovery

Hello Rebecca:  I am always interested in how people do respond to the aroma of oils.  Interestingly, people who have ADHD or similar challenges can be highly sensitive to a lot of things, including things they smell.  I have heard that inhaling an oil, such as geranium first may settle down the sensitivity to other oils in cases such as these.  May be worth a try!  And if that doesn't work, then you may be able to dilute with coconut oil and gradually increase the ratio.  PS:  We'd get the shock of our lives if my husbands elbow started fully bending all of a sudden.  Of course, being in Australia, he would show people the scarring and tell them it was a crocodile attack!  The extra movement has got us very interested though - will let you know if anything else changes!  He's about to start of the LLV tablets too!!  Cherylynn

Wow Cherylynn!  Love you story, or your husband's story!  Just read it to my DH and he asked if it would work on his elbow--ha ha, he hates the smell of Deep Blue so this is another baby step for us! ;-)  Thanks!

Hello Cara:  My husband's recovery surprised both his specialist (surgeon) and his physiotherapist once he started using Deep Blue.  First we put on the oil.  Then we applied the cream.  This is an amazing product - overnight, yes overnight, we could physically feel that the scar tissue had melted away and his range of movement increased dramatically.  Apart from the oils, he followed the physios protocol (exercises) exactly.  I can also attest to the value of the aromatouch technique for him.  He is nearly 52 and leads rescue teams on a mine site - with two reconstructed shoulders and an elbow that is permanently set - we can vouch for Deep Blue.  His elbow was permanently set after a football accident when he was 14 and from that time on he could only shoot (vermin on the farm) left-handed.  He has been faithfully using Deep Blue since May 4, 2012 (this year) and just last week reported that he started shooting (clay targets) right-handed now after all these years.  All we can say is that is that we would not be without the Deep Blue.  It's anti-inflammatory ability will reduce swelling and assist nerve and pressure pain.  It is also analgesic - most helpful (and why I recommend using the oil first and let it get into the site before starting and gentle application of the cream.  It is also restorative so the healing component will assist with long-term recovery.  Apart from DB, there is the obvious Frankincense and Helichrysum (nerve regeneration).  Hope this encourages you with your choice for Deep Blue.  Cherylynn.

Hello,

I visited with a lady from church last night who had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago.  She is having a lot of 'nerve firing' pain (she said it's like lightning) as well as pressure points from her sling, in addition to the actual surgery/muscle recovery pain.  I gave her some Immortelle for the surgery site, and Deep Blue for the muscles they work in PT which get frozen up from the sling, but is there anything else she should try for the nerve and pressure pain?

Thanks!
Cara
