Generally, I would look to start fighting off the likely viral and bacterial infection by applying OnGuard (diluted) to his belly and his feet. Start slow, but increase amount and frequency as long as he's handling it ok. If you don't have OnGuard, look at some other options listed on the page or let us know what you have and I'm sure you can get some advice from there.
My kids and I got through it in under 2 days. My husband has been aggressive with prevention measures -- so far so good!
If you happen to have Sandalwood or Vetiver, that may ease any related stomach cramps and may also help him get some sleep.
