I think Aromatouch should be fine. The water rule of thumb is supposed
to be 65% of your body weight. If memory serves, and its been a while, a
minimum of 4 liters daily during lyme treatment, the more the better.
(They say the more you drink and the more you stick to the diet the less
herx you get).
The Cowden protocol says to avoid Activated Charcoal & Calcium Bentonite
Clay because they can bind with the herbs. It also says to put 10 drops
of parsley under the tongue every 10 minutes until feeling goes away.
Now keeping in mind that it is a totally different treatment and we
don't have parsley I would try the frankincense in the same way. If that
doesn't work then perhaps research the chemical constiuancy of parsley
and substitute the closest thing we have to it. (Note, their parley
isn't an herb it is more like an essential oil).
I'd also swipe Immortelle over her adrenals a couple times a day too.
(Lyme likes to shut down the adrenals).
In some respects the neuro reaction leaves me with mixed feelings. On
one hand it is a good sign that the protocol is working. On the other it
could indicate that the lyme has progressed to neuro lyme (if she's had
it a while). What that means is she'll need to really watch how things
go. What could happen is that she could finish the treatment and feel
really good. Long term lyme sometimes goes dormant and sneaks into the
lymph nodes. While it isn't what we hope for, it generally only comes
back out under extreme stress. (Some docs believe that all lyme does
this, it is a debated issue). Just make sure she is aware and to watch
for signs that there is an issue again.
One of the things that has me wondering about Lyme is that there are
several protocols out there. Dr. Hill had one and then I'd heard of a
different one that he'd approved. I'd really love it if someone who has
his ear would tell us which the most current is and what role DDR could
play in treatment.
