I would recommend that you contact doterra w/your suggestions&concerns...they tend to listen to all IPCs the board.
You have valid concerns...I too had to save in order to get both of my diffusers from doterra & I don't regret either purchase. I love my 2 Lotus diffusers& use them everyday:)
