[Everything doTERRA] Mites

Does anyone have a suggestion to repel mites? (They are probably bird
mites.) My mom lives in the country surrounded by forest. The last
year, she has been have serious problems with mites biting her. It's
worse when she's outside but they've also invaded her house and car so
she can't go anywhere without being bitten. She's tried everything
she can think of (besides oils - I've just learned about them myself)
and she's at her wits end. My first thought is TerraShield. Are
there any other suggestions? And how would she even use TerraShield?
Diffuse it? And then apply it straight from the bottle to her whole
body? Or dilute it? Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
