The exception to these treatments being effective is, as you say, direct injection. It's been hard to watch her do this and suffer all of the side effects she has over the past year: losing feeling in her feet and hands, losing her hair, mental confusion and fogginess, severe fatigue, etc., but it's been her choice. I just support her and try to help her manage it naturally as best I can. We've been working on it together for two years now. I've done Reiki when she and I can get together to do so hands on as well, and she's been going for other energy healing. I'm excited to have another tool now to help her, and anyone else I know who wants natural support, or a natural alternative.
Sorry, everyone...didn't meant to get OT.
Frankincense is one of the oils she's going to get when she gets her next paycheck. I just wanted to check to see if it could interfere at all because of eliminating toxins.
Blessings,

There was mention of Frankincense protecting the healthy cells during treatment (assuming chemo but the word wasn't mentioned) on our team call the other day. Chemo is abut 2% effective, less than a placebo. Did you know that people who believed they are getting chemo but got a placebo also lost their hair and had symptoms? The mind is a powerful thing! Sorry you have to see your friend do this to herself. Hopefully she believes it's working since that is about the only way to get a result with chemo the traditional way (small chemo injections directly into the tumor are actually effective--see Dr. Thomas Lodi if interested).

--I have one question regarding using essential oils with a cancer patient. My best friend is still going through chemo and wants to use the oils to help with her symptoms like memory loss, fatigue, and constipation. I know they also help eliminate toxins from our system, and chemo is putting the toxins in, thereby causing these symptoms. Can she use the essential oils safely without affecting her chemo treatments "effectiveness"? (Sorry, but I don't believe the stuff is effective, hence the quotes.)
