I’m thinking flying with the little 5/8 dram pouches would be fine for carry on. . . You can take 3 oz bottles. . .  and 8 – 5/8 dram bottles doesn’t equal that amount. Then if you need the big bottles just pack them in your bags.

Our biggest concern is being able to take the oils with us on the
plane. We were planning on just mailing what we needed to my mom's,
seems like less of a hassel. If I apply the oils before we leave will
they last the whole flight? It's a four to eight hour flight -
depending on if we have to make a stop or not (still hoping to find a
non-stop ticket. the less times I have to get on a plan the less
severe it is for me.)
