[Everything doTERRA] Histoplasmosis

Any info out there specifically for Histoplasmosis? It is fungal
disease caused by inhalation of spores somehow released into the
environment from bird and/or bat droppings (guana). It is an acute
lung condition that is often left to run its course.
I have a friend suffering in pain, fluid building up on her lungs,
etc. Now she is being prescribed Itraconizole, which is very expensive
and not sure if her insurance will even cover it. She says....
"Well the Histoplasmosis is the underlying cause of the pleural
effusion, so I need the Itraconizole to treat that. That can take
weeks to months to work. In the meantime, I may need to continue
having the space drained of fluid so I can breathe easier and be less
painful. I'm not sure a dieretic will work in this case."
Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.
