My son got scabies from school about a year ago. We treated with a daily bath with about 10 drops of Melaleuca oil in it. By the time we did this they were really bad and we were both covered with scabs because when I took him to the on call doctor, he diagnosed it as Eczema. When it continued to get worse, I took him back to his regular doctor, who diagnosed the scabies. Within a couple days neither of us were itching anymore. And within a week most of the scabs had healed up.
