Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Mental Health Struggles of a Teenage Brother

I'm wondering if frankincese and balance would be good - I want to try just frankincense and see what that does then add lavender to see if I can see
if I notice a difference.  Then add back in the balance too.  I'll check out the constitutional sulfer too - that sounds interesting! Thanks

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Mental Health Struggles of a Teenage Brother

My son began that journey at around the same age. Gluten was THE biggest issue. The problem was, he didn't want to eat gluten free and still doesn't. Then he got into some trouble and ended up diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder, that then got him put on Lithium. He was on it 1 1/2 years and did NOT like it. He finally quit. STILL would not eat gluten free. In desperation I searched homeopathy. I found a book called "Homeopathic Psychology" by Phillip M Bailey, M.D. When he was a young child a homeopathic Dr. had put him on constitutional sulfur. I looked up sulfur and that seemed to fit. I ordered a 10m dose from a website in Canada he muscle tests daily, he averages about 1 time a week with a dose and sometimes when he's stressed out he needs 2 x a week. He preferred this to the oils because the oils tended to need to be used every day. Not to say the oils didn't work, it was just being the age he was, he didn't want to do them every day. He's 25 now, he is using oils (balance mostly) AND the sulfur. T think the balance is the most effective of all of the oils that we tried. He puts it on his feet, his arms and his heart. Good Luck, I know the journey can be tenuous, AND I know that family support, understanding and awareness helped our family help him cope and still does. I usually use maybe one blend with several other single blends. I don't have anything to back that up, but just something I read somewhere, and can't remember where. Maybe someone else might have a comment to add to that, or some documentation.
