It sounds like a food allergy.  My son had poop that would scorch his little bottom, but once we removed milk from his diet and switched to soy, he didn't have the problem anymore.  My niece had the same reaction with bananas.

When my son was younger, he never had a rash until I switched brands then he started getting rashes so I switched it back to the original diaper (huggies)...as far as the rashes goes, my niece had a bad rash last fall to the point where it was cracking and bleeding...my mom put lavender with FCO on the rash then "seal" it with Vaseline...it worked...
