[Everything doTERRA] Most affordable muscle pain relief?

I'm looking for ideas on the most affordable protocols for muscle pain relief. I have friends whose situation says "Deep Blue and Frankincense!" to me but the cost for those oils are intimidating. They just can't imagine buying those oils to use on a daily basis right now. I'd like to give them some other options -- I'm looking for your oils, oil combinations, and how you apply them. Blended? Layered?  How often? For all-over muscle pain such as fibro-myalgia, do any of you find a bath more helpful/convenient/affordable than other topical applications? I can glean quite a bit from what others have already graciously posted in this group, but I thought this was a specific topic that would be useful to a lot of us here.

Here is some more specific information about the friends I have in mind. (names have been changed)
1) Shannon has a neck injury that is 4-5 years old and despite significant chiropractic and massage therapy help still gives her pain that required her to quit her job as a preschool teacher and dictates much of what she can do during the day with her 3-year old. She tried the deep blue and loved it, but has decided not to buy it because.... well, she had to quit her job!

2. I just found out that Stacey (a high school friend who lives across the country) deals with a lot of muscle pain. Her muscles feel sore and tired as though she's had a hard workout, when she hasn't. She would know about hard workouts, she's a martial arts instructor! She says she's just learned live with the pain. She has a student who is a massage therapist and and acupuncturist and provides a lot of free services to her, so in her case she could take advantage of having her massage therapist apply the oils for her. The massage therapist suspects that my friend has a chronic condition such as fibromyalgia. Stacey saw me "talking" about the oils with some mutual friends on facebok, and considered trying them -- but was very intimidated by the cost and decided not to try them. I convinced her to allow me to just give some to her as a gift, :) as a way that I can support her long-distance with the trials she's going through. (She's got a great deal of personal drama going on... I had been looking to send her some oils to help cope with all that, and I didn't even know about the muscle pain until I started talking to her about the oils!)

These friends may work up to aromatouch technique and the supplements, but they need an easier place to get started. Thanks ahead of time for your responses!
Naomi
